Crossworlds just gives you a little bit of extra content from what I remember. The game's beginning and final acts are solid though and overall makes for an enjoyable game.Ĭrossworlds is a strictly better version of AP, but with that in mind, the base version is perfectly playable game on its own. I didn't care for the middle section of the game (where you return to Darion) since it mostly felt like filler, and you lose all your troops. Your mileage may vary.Īs for the game itself, Warriors of the North has some of the best music in the franchise (imo) and some really cool mechanics like runes and the new viking troops. That's why I personally prefer the base version. Altho altars and wishing wells are always in the same places, they will however give different bonuses on each run. One major difference is that in Ice and Fire, you don't get your pegasus until MUCH later in the game. Randomness: Kings Bounty games generate scrolls, items, troops you name it on the start of each game, what it means is there are no certainty of the particular items, scrolls, troops in preset vendor locations. I remember reading a lot of people talking about Ice and Fire bugs on 1C's official forum. For me, the Ice and Fire version crashed a lot more than the base version, but idk if that's how it is for everyone.
